Highly recommend this software (MiniTool Portable Partition Magic); especially, the portable version to manage disks and partitions on your Windows PC. Typically, this type of software is something that most people do not need on a regular basis; thus, the reason I recommend the portable version. Simply download, unzip and run; when you need it.
As an example, I recently used this software to delete a partition and to extend the system partition to capture the space that was being used to store a Windows factory restore on an older HP laptop (that really no longer needed the restore files) that is now running Windows 10. In the end I gained 10GB of space and the computer runs more efficiently.

Windows 10 was released in July of 2015 and has went through several version changes (or major updates). You may have heard of the “November Update – Version 1511” or the “Anniversary Update – Version 1607”; and, the most recent “Creators Update – 1703”. I know for some home-based computer users this all may sound quite confusing to the point that you are not sure what version of Windows 10 you are running.
Any easy way to determine what version of Windows 10 you have installed (and the build number); simply, click the Start Button (at the bottom left corner), then click on Settings, then click on System (cog wheeled icon), then click on About (see screenshot below). Another method to determine what version you are running is CLICK HERE (which will open your web browser to the Microsoft site “Get Windows Creator Update”). Once the page loads, click on the button labelled “Check your version of Windows 10”.

This FREE partition tool gives you more flexibility (and more options) in comparison to the partition tool that is baked into Windows. For example, an option jumping out at me, that is not a windows option, is that there is a tool for wiping a partition securely, allowing you to delete the data from it (to the point that the data cannot be recovered by any data recovery solution). Other numerous options are reflected in the screenshot below…
