What’s a certified refurbished Amazon Device?

You can save money on many of the Amazon sponsored devices by buying “certified refurbished”. Certified Refurbished Amazon Devices work and look like new and are backed with the same limited warranty as a new device. Used Amazon Devices sold by Amazon Warehouse are fully functional pre-owned units that have been tested and verified by Amazon to meet the specified product condition. Used Amazon Devices do not receive a manufacturer’s warranty but do receive a 30 day money-back guarantee from Amazon.

We’ve heard rumors about a refreshed Google Chromecast that bakes in Android TV and offers a remote, and now it looks more real than ever…

Specs under the hood here are rumored to be a quad-core SoC with 2GB of RAM and presumably a bit of internal storage for apps. Chromecasts aren’t generally high-end pieces of hardware so don’t expect something like the NVIDIA Shield, but there should be enough storage to handle your suite of preferred streaming apps with some headroom. 4K HDR support is also a given.

A tutorial on the “10 Hidden Amazon Fire Stick Features & Settings”

Here at “Tech News For You” I have been experimenting with various online TV streaming options. So far, I am stuck on the Amazon Fire Stick. I was going to write an article about some of the hidden features and settings that I have come across, but found this great video that covers all the bases. If you are interested in giving an Amazon Fire Stick a try, they are available at Amazon (click here), are reasonable in cost, and provide a great way to cut the cord from cable. What I have found is that the Fire Stick is basically Android on a stick which means you can install many Android apps.
