How did you get on trying CloudReady? I’m thinking of buying a fairly high end laptop to install it on. Really struggle with just 8gb RAM these days even on CloudReady. Have to get myself a new proper Chromebook too soon as well as Win 10 machine, also some new stuff for family, expensive days ahead 😦 Haven’t spent anything on tech for 5 years so have been expecting it.

I actually installed this on a Toshiba laptop that is approximately 10 to 11 years old. What was puzzling was the computer has to be a 64bit computer and from the specs on the Toshiba it is saying 32bit. This Toshiba also was not on their list of computers that they certify CloudReady will run. Anyhow, it installed and is working (so far) very well. You do know you can install Cloudready to a USB drive and run it? Sometimes, I just scratch my head and later try to figure out, how did I get that to work (because I have no idea).
